Spikings are increasing again and motorists are no longer just targeted on the N4, but also on other roads in the Madibeng area.

Several incidents were reported on the Letlhabile road near Brits the past week. In one incident early on Monday morning, a motorist lost three tyres, but managed to continue driving to a fuel station on the Rosslyn Road.
More vehicles were targeted on the same road, including an ambulance.
Spiking no longer only takes place after dark, brazen robbers are now targeting motorists during broad daylight.
This week’s spiking incidents follow three incidents on the N4 highway in the Brits area the past month where motorists had to pull off the road after driving over spikes and were robbed. In one case, motorists fled into the bushes for cover when robbers shot at them.
Security structures are urging motorists to be extremely vigilant and report suspicious activities on roads in the area.
