Eloise, Hartbeespoort High School head girl for 2021, was announced North West’s top matric achiever for 2021. Eloise passed with seven distinctions and a 96% average pass mark. Keorapetse passed with a 94% mark in the third place.

Sun City rewarded Eloise and the four runners-up, who all achieved an over 90% pass rate, with laptops valued at over R115 000. These laptops are top of the range with superior processing power.

Eloise and Keorapetse are both currently studying medicine.

“We are delighted to be able to assist bright young adults continue on their path to success as they become our country’s future leaders, and to also reward them for their hard work paid off,” says Brett Hoppé, Sun City’s general manager.

“Despite the lack of funding and overcrowding some of these institutions experience, there are many who travel for a long time to attend school and further their education. It is worth noting that four of the five matriculants we are honouring are female, which is in keeping with our gender diversity values, especially in the run up to Women’s Month.”
