The next mega Hartbeespoort clean-up, initiated by Brits Hartbeespoort Rotary, WESSA and Birdlife Harties will take place on Saturday 17 September which is World clean up day.

The focus will be the removal of rubbish along road verges, dam shore and in all open spaces.

The area is divided into five sub-areas with team leaders running each one.

The east sector will focus on Saartjiesnek, Meerhof, Xanadu, east of Birdwood and along the R511 to the Sediba Plaza. The north sector stretches from Ifafi to the dam wall, Damdoryn, and Kosmos. The south sector covers the Broederstroom T-junction near the Crocodile bridge, along the R512 past Pecanwood to the Van Gaalens T-junction, and finally the Crocodile River from the steel bridge southwards. Starting time is 07:00 at all the points. Bags, gloves etc will be provided.
