We as The Stationery Studio Team attended and exhibited at Hoërskool Hartbeespoort / Hartbeespoort High School’s “Hartsfees” on Tuesday, 27 September. Let me tell you – there are definitely some serious upcoming artists!

It was mesmerising to see how Grade 8 – 12 scholars could achieve such amazing art pieces at such a young age. The Hartsfees was all about the exposure of the artists – all artists. Art, photography, culture, hospitality / consumer studies, robotics etc. were all front and centre during the evening, not even to mention some striking ensembles from the Fashion Show that was held outside in the gardens.
The young artists were also exposed to some experts in the field – Fanie Smit and Alan Dent’s artwork were prominent that evening. There were ample refreshments and foods available – all thanks to the hospitality & consumer study students. We were very privileged to be invited as one of the guests of honour to attend the evening. A skilful artist is nothing without its paintbrush – that is where we came in! We tantalised the students, parents and teachers to show them a small drop in the bucket of what is available at The Stationery Studio. “Wow! I can not believe that we have such an impressive shop right under our noses. I love the variety and your prices are really good!” – words from a Grade 11 art student.
“Nee kyk, julle mag maar. Ons dorp sal niks sonder julle winkel wees nie. Waarom moet mens nou rondsoek en rondbel wanneer julle alles onder een dak het?” – words from a parent.
For us it was not only to indulge ourselves in the masterpieces showcased, but to splash all of the vast amounts of creditable brands that we stock – Copic, Angelus, Cretacolor, Art Board, Prime Art, Chromacryl, Raffiné, Faber Castell, Derwent, Pro-Art, Heritage, Zellen, Fabriano, Lino, Pigma Micron, Lyra, Iris, Mungyo – just to name a few! By displaying our products, we made it visually interesting for children to see that the products we stock will continue to enable them to explore, adapt and grow in their artistic creativity. We fully endorse and promote creativity, individuality and to always think outside of the box. When you pay a visit to our store, you will see that we are all for colour and creativity and we truly strive for a “feel at home” environment.

The Stationery Studio Team would like to congratulate the art teachers, Mrs. Lizel-Marie Serfontein (Gr.8-9) and Mrs. Madie Kruger (Gr.10-12) on not only educating and guiding these talented scholars, but also for pulling off such a really well received evening. A big congratulations to each and every young artist who also put in all the effort to present all of their art pieces.

We invite you to come pay a visit to our store – we promise you that the only disappointment that you will have is for not knowing about us sooner!
