A large number of ducks have lately been spotted around Hartbeespoort Dam with plastic rings, such as those from milk bottles, caught around their heads and beaks, some that have died.
“Litter is a huge problem for wildlife. Please cut all rings, bin your rubbish and support campaigns to clean our water bodies and in doing so, save countless birds and other wildlife from needless suffering,” said concerned resident Glenda Maguire
