Police recovered two Toyota Hilux bakkies stolen in Brits in Mpumalanga last week.

According to police spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, two men, aged 35 and 43, were arrested in Carolina and Hendrina for possession of suspected stolen vehicles. A third Toyota Hilux bakkie stolen in Gauteng was also recovered.
“On Tuesday, 13 September 2022 the police were informed by a tracking company about certain vehicles en route to Carolina. Police in conjunction with a Tracking Company and security officials followed up on the information and intercepted a white Toyota Hilux bakkie which was reported stolen at Beinsvlei in Gauteng on 6 September 2022,” Mohlala said. The driver was arrested for possession of the suspected stolen vehicle and police then recovered another two bakkies reported stolen in Brits a few weeks ago.
The two suspects appeared in court on charges of suspected stolen property.
