Five sluice gates were open on Monday morning with more expected to be open later.

Heavy flooding in the Hartbeespoort catchment area is causing a large inflow into the dam. The Crocodile and Hennops rivers are in full flood after heavy downpours in the Centurion, Midrand and Fourways areas. The inflow is expected to increase over the next few days as more heavy rains in the area is forecast by the SA Weather Service. No flood warnings have been issued by the Madibeng municipality.
