The well known Lt. Col Isaac Tlhape, fondly called Col. Fish, passed away on 13 February following a car accident.

Tlhape was a stalwart police officer at the detective unit of the Hartbeespoort police station from 2009 to 2016 before joining detectives at the Brits police station where he became the commander of the Brits Cluster Trio Task Team. He played a crucial part in the notorious Mooinooi murder trial as the investigating officer.
Tlhape joined the police force in 1987 and was stationed at Ga-Rankuwa before coming to Hartbeespoort and Brits.
“He will be remembered for his humbleness, selfless dedication and hard work,” said police spokesperson, Maria Nkabinde.
