Making life beautiful

Faith Mogotsi makes life beautiful for Hartbeespoort glamour girls (and occasional guys). Her Scott street salon, Mani And Me, offers a top to toe service. Whether you want a crown of braids fit for a queen, exquisite eyelash enhancement or a pain-free leg wax and a perfect pedicure, Faith says that her aim is to “bring out the unique and special loveliness in every client.” She believes that “beauty is not about a one size fits all conveyor belt. Everyone is different but perfect in their own way. It’s about creating the conditions for clients to achieve their ideal image of themselves.”

Ultimately, it’s all about being professional

Letlhabile-born Faith says that her passion for prettiness began at Hartbeespoort High School and that “by the time I matriculated from Harties I was already doing manicures for all my friends. It was a natural step for me to go to Tshwane North College for the 3year Diploma in Cosmetology.” After graduating she worked at several salons in and around Hartbeespoort before opening her own business in October 2019.

Faith acknowledges that “being in business in the current economic and medical climate is complicated. It’s essential to be extremely sensitive to the fears and stresses of customers. We are )never to have more than 4 clients in the salon at a time. We keep a 30-minute gap between appointments for sanitizing and I happily do house calls for those who are uneasy about leaving home. Ultimately, it’s all about being professional and consistently upholding the highest standards. Beauty thrives in safe, soothing spaces.”
