What is your view on women in business?
Women in business are faced with many challenges like finance, mentorship, social norms and expectations. They might also have to balance family responsibility while running a business. But women are very resourceful, passionate and driven.

What were the obstacles when you started your business?
I was fortunate to take over an established business. But I was very young and inexperienced. I was thrown in the deep end. But that is usually the best way to learn.

What is your advice for women starting their own businesses?
Believe in yourself and work toward your entrepreneurial dream. As in life there will be ups and downs in business. Celebrate success and learn from failures and criticism.

What is your speciality?
About two years ago I decided to learn a new skill and started cutting lenses myself. I made a few expensive mistakes but learned a lot and enjoy the process.

Your view on women today?
Women have become strong and outspoken. It is encouraging that young girls can now see women in positions of power and success.
Women have already made their mark in so many different industries, proving that they are capable of accomplishing great things.

What is your view on women in business?
It is a well-known fact that woman can multitask. Give a woman enough support and encouragement and she can conquer the world. Woman need and deserve a seat at the table. Fight for that seat, embrace your power, know your worth and know your strength.

What were the obstacles when you started your business?
Finances will always be the first and the biggest obstacles. As the saying goes, you need money to make money. And the classic fear of failure. I started with a business plan, got a little start-up money and just winged it, praying constantly. Let go and let God.

What is your advice for women starting their own businesses?
Life is a rollercoaster. It will not be easy. There will be ups and downs, good days and bad. Have faith, look to God, believe in yourself and never give up. Get up, show up and always do your best.

What is your speciality?
I love my job, if you spend 8 hours a day doing what you love, it’s not really a job, it’s a purpose and a calling.
I love children. So attending to their needs will always be my first love.

Your view on women today?
Woman are natural caretakers, mothers, wives, sisters, friends, entrepreneurs, world leaders, business woman… just look at Oprah Winfrey, Hillary Clinton, first female presidential candidate, Jacinda Arden, prime minster of New Zealand… watch this space, woman everywhere are finding their voices and changing everyday life for the better.
