Young Expendables showcase talent

Young Expendables football club under 13 boys team took part in the Hartbeespoort Zonke’s Anti-drug awareness campaign soccer tournament held in Sunway recently.

The under 13 team won 2-0 on their first match of the tournament against Ten Rooms football club and lost 5-4 on penalties against Stevovo Soccer Development in the finals. However, the club walked away with accolades such as player of the tournament, young promising player and golden boot. “We would like to thank Ashley Zonke Masango for giving us an opportunity to showcase our football talent,” said Japhta Lelaka chairman of the club. Young Expendable under 13 and 15 boys’ teams will lock horns with Future Stars football club from Bokfontein on Saturday 1 February at Crocodile mine at 13:00. “These games are part of the preparations for our matches against Orlando Pirates development teams in February at Randburg,” added Lelaka.
