With more than four decades of experience in the African bush, Brett has devoted much of his life to wildlife conservation, anti-poaching training, bushcraft and environmental education. A former member of the Special Forces and Police Service, he has combined his extensive knowledge of tracking, survival and wilderness operations with a determination to combat the growing threat of organised poaching.

As founder of Dung Beetle Bush School, Brett has worked to equip rangers, conservation personnel and young people with the practical skills and understanding needed to protect wildlife and its habitat.

His philosophy is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: “The preservation of our wilderness lies in the hands of our children.”

At a time when Africa’s wildlife faces mounting threats from poaching, habitat destruction and organised criminal syndicates, Brett remains a passionate advocate for conservation through education, practical training and direct action.

His story is one of adventure, dedication and an unwavering commitment to ensuring that future generations will still experience the beauty and wonder of Africa’s wild places.
