Rea stars in national ad campaign

Reatlegile Mabusela (15), a talented karateka from the Amomabs Karate Institute (AMKI) in Hartbeespoort, has become a national star and is currently featured in Mzansi Magic’s 15th Anniversary Celebration campaign.
This advertisement currently airs across multiple DStv channels, including Mzansi Magic Channel 161, and even during live sports broadcasts on SuperSport. The advert, celebrating 15 years of storytelling excellence, showcases Reatlegile — affectionately known as Rea — sharing her thoughts on memorable moments from Big Brother Mzansi, one of South Africa’s most iconic reality shows.
Reatlegile’s appearance is more than just a television feature; it’s a reflection of her growing influence as a young leader, entrepreneur, and role model within her community. This young girl is not only a karate champion with six national titles under her belt, but she is also a champion gymnast, actress, musician, and founder of 4Us Amazing Kids, a youth empowerment initiative that encourages children to dream boldly, lead with purpose, and believe in their potential.
Reatlegile made her first appearance on national television when she was five as part of the Nelson Mandela 20 Years of Inspiration commercial. She then had her first big break as Tshwanelo in 2017 on the South African soapy Rhythm City and a supporting role on Broken Vows in 2018. She went on to star in advertisements for international brands such as Dark and Lovely, Nestle Nido Mozambique, Unilever, Sanlam, and her upcoming South African Short-Film Kat and Mlu.
She is humble about her achievements at just 15 years old. “I thank God for everything. His grace continues to carry me, and this moment reminds me that with faith and consistency, anything is possible,” she said.
Sensei Amo Mabusela of Amomabs Karate Institute said that Reatlegile’s story is one of inspiration and hope. “Reatlegile’s appearance is more than just a television feature; it’s a reflection of her growing influence as a young leader, entrepreneur, and role model within her community. A dedicated karateka at AMKI, she continues to carry the values of discipline, confidence, and perseverance from the dojo into every part of her life. We are extremely proud of Rea. Her achievement shows that hard work, humility, and faith can open doors far beyond what we imagine,” Mabusela said.
