Former Madibeng MM out on bail now NW Tourism CFO
A former acting municipal manager of Madibeng Municipality, who was arrested by the Hawks for corruption last year, and is out on bail, has just landed the CFO position at a government department.

Morufa Moloto was arrested in Brits while she was acting municipal manager at Madibeng Municipality.
Morufa Moloto and her partner, Letladi Ramoroka, were arrested by the Hawks in Brits in July 2024 for alleged corruption. Moloto allegedly awarded her partner’s company a tender to the value of R185 000 to supply and deliver eight laptops to the Ganyesa municipality.
According to Hawks spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Tinyiko Mathebula, investigation revealed that the tender was awarded to a bidder with the highest quotation. “Investigations uncovered that In March 2018, the municipality reportedly paid a company belonging to the municipal official’s partner an amount of R185 000. Upon receiving the funds, the partner allegedly transferred an amount of R150 000 to a company belonging to the municipal official,” Mathebula said.
The couple are currently out on R15 000 bail each and will be in court again in August.
Moloto started her job as CFO at North West Parks and Tourism this month.
