Prof Erik Holm

Prof Erik Holm will be the guest speaker at Magaliesberg Association for Culture & Heritage’s (MACH) next meeting, talking about South Africa’s rich treasure trove of rock art.
Holm is a passionate historian and one of South Africa’s pioneering entomologists with a large number of scientific publications under the belt.
At Springbokfontein, central Karoo there is a wonderful assemblage of “Bushman” engravings, with different ages and styles. Who were the artists? When did Bushmen (also known as San) make the engravings? What evidence do we have?
These are some of the topics Holm will talk about.
The meeting takes place at Harties Lodge, Meerhof, Hartbeespoort on Saturday, 13 July, at 10:00.
