Hartbeespoort estates challenged to clean up

Hartbeespoort estates along the Hartbeespoort Dam have been challenged to clean up their shorelines as part of the Harties Clean and Restore project that kicks off on 14 September.
“We are challenging estates to participate in this two-week project to see which estate can keep its shoreline the cleanest. Now that the water level is low, it is the perfect opportunity to clean up a substantial area,” said John Wesson of WESSA, who is a driving force behind the annual Harties Clean and Restore project.
“We want estates to send before and after photos and we will announce the winner after the clean-up.” The project also aims to do a mega clean-up closer to the festive season. “We would also like to encourage all the teams that participated in our last mega clean up to carry out a clean up on a regular basis,” Wesson said.
Estates that want to participate in the challenge can send photos to jjwesson674@gmail.com and daleen@kormorant.co.za.
We are calling on all estates to join in this challenge and assist in cleaning Hartbeespoort Dam.
