The MyGolfLife Open returns to one of South Africa’s most esteemed courses at Pecanwood Golf and Country Club which provides a perfect setting for golfers to compete for a prize fund of $375 000.
This promises to be a fun-filled four days for the whole family, with a spectator village where visitors can expect food trucks, drinks and activities for all ages.
Great golf players such as Oliver Bekker, Daniel van Tonder, MJ Viljoen, Luke Jerling, Wilco Nienaber, Hennie Otto and Wynand Dingle will be seen in action.
Pecanwood was the first Jack Nicklaus Signature design in Africa when it opened for play in August 1998 as part of the Pecanwood golf estate. Over the next decade, Nicklaus would return time and again to design another five courses in South Africa. Pecanwood ushered in a new era of five-star course design. Nicklaus delivered a championship-quality layout at Pecanwood that at the time was the longest course in the country, 60 metres longer than the Gary Player CC at Sun City, with a rating of 76 from the back tees. It was the first course in South Africa to make maximum use of fairway bunkering as serious hazards.
The last international tournament at Pecanwood was the DP Tour in 2022 which was won by Pablo Larrazabel, with Anri Arnaus and Jordan Smith in second place, and South African George Coetzee in fourth place.
Come and join Pecanwood Golf and Country Estate for this spectacular event from 30 January to 2 February. Don’t miss your chance to witness greatness.
