Pecanwood College is proud to announce the adoption of Bagheera, a black leopard cub, currently housed at a local wildlife sanctuary as part of WESSA Eco-Schools Commitment.

Bagheera, the Black leopard cub adopted by Pecanwood College.

Bagheera was sadly rejected by his mother shortly after birth but now receives care and support with the hope of one day being released into the wild.
This symbolic adoption is part of Pecanwood College’s ongoing focus on environmental responsibility through its involvement in the WESSA Eco-Schools Programme. As a registered Eco-School, Pecanwood is committed to creating a culture of sustainability by encouraging learners to act on real-world environmental issues.
Bagheera’s story has sparked meaningful discussions among learners around conservation, endangered species, and the importance of protecting natural habitats. The school looks forward to tracking his journey and continuing to foster environmental awareness in Pecanwood College.
