Pecanwood College continues to lead the way in educational innovation with the integration of ADvLEARN, an adaptive, AI-driven learning platform used from Grade 7 through to Grade 12.

Gugulethu Makhoba, a Grade 10 student at Pecanwood College gets into AI-powered learning.

The system is proving to be a game-changer in how learners engage with core academic subjects such as Mathematics, Mathematical Literacy, and Physical Sciences.
ADvLEARN is designed to personalise each learner’s academic journey. By analysing individual performance, it identifies strengths and areas requiring reinforcement. This allows the platform to create custom learning pathways that challenge each student appropriately and provide support where needed most.
The programme is introduced in Grade 7, where learners begin building their foundation through focused Mathematics content. As they progress into High School, the platform becomes an integral part of the academic programme, offering targeted revision and real-time feedback in Mathematics, Physical Sciences, and Mathematical Literacy.
Teachers are empowered with meaningful data to tailor their instruction and monitor progress closely. This approach enables early interventions and supports learners in becoming more independent and accountable for their growth. The platform has also contributed to higher levels of engagement, confidence, and measurable academic improvement.
“ADvLEARN helps us personalise education in a way that is meaningful and measurable,” says Jacques de Villiers, Principal of Pecanwood College. “It equips our learners with the tools to take ownership of their progress, while giving teachers the insight to support and extend each individual effectively. It’s a powerful part of our academic strategy.”
By leveraging artificial intelligence, Pecanwood College ensures that no learner is left behind while also extending those who excel. ADvLEARN reflects the school’s broader mission of preparing students for success—not only in the classroom but in a rapidly evolving world.
