Rotary International President Gordon McInally’s Visit to The Mountain Cambridge School

The Mountain Cambridge School (MCS) recently had the honour of hosting a distinguished guest: Rotary International President Gordon McInally. This special visit was a testament to the school’s commitment to community engagement and the values of Rotary International.
The occasion was marked by enthusiastic participation from the MCS Interact Club learners, highlighting the vibrant spirit and dedication to service that defines both the school and Rotary. As President McInally, along with representatives from 9350 & 9400 District which includes the Brits Hartbeespoort Rotary Club, stepped onto the MCS grounds, they were met with a warm welcome that reflected the genuine hospitality of the school community.
The learners’ enthusiasm was palpable as they eagerly awaited the opportunity to showcase their school and its values. During the special assembly held in honor of President McInally’s visit, MCS learners demonstrated their remarkable spirit throughout the event.
One particularly memorable moment was the “War Cry,” which resonated with pride and unity. These displays of talent and enthusiasm left a lasting impression on all in attendance, including President McInally and the members of Rotary. The significance of MCS’s role in hosting President McInally cannot be overstated.
Out of 4600 Rotary Clubs worldwide and 65 in their district, the Brits Hartbeespoort Rotary Club was selected to showcase Rotary in South Africa, making this visit a truly prestigious occasion. This recognition underscores the dedication and impact of the club’s members, as well as the outstanding contributions of MCS to its community. A special acknowledgment goes to the MCS Interact learners whose active participation enriched the event.
Their dedication and commitment to service filled President McInally and all attendees with immense pride. Through their involvement, these learners exemplified the values of Rotary and demonstrated the positive impact of youth engagement in community initiatives.
