Businessman Raphael and his wife Gloria Amoah identified a need in the Hartbeespoort community and jumped at it by opening Pursuit Fashion & Tailoring in Schoemansville two months ago.
“I discovered that there was a demand for tailoring and alterations in Hartbeespoort. People informed me they were driving to Pretoria or Johannesburg for these services. I thought why not give them the services they need right here?” Amoah said. “My passion is business. Where there is a problem or need, there is money!”

Pursuit Fashion & Tailoring, however, not only alters clothing items, this booming new business employs qualified fashion designers as well to create exclusive outfits for those who demand it. “Our motto is ‘Be your own label’. With our designs, you will be the only one wearing that outfit and the unique accessories that go with it.”

The couple also identified a demand for shoe repairs and this service has become very popular. “We want to be the one-stop-fashion shop that can cater to all our clients’ fashion needs.”
Raphael and Gloria are no strangers to fashion. They own two hair salons in Hartbeespoort, complementing their new fashion venture.
The couple have been residents of Hartbeespoort for the past six years.
