The 5th Edition of the US Kids Big 5 SA Open Championship is about to kick off at Magalies Park on 24 March.
It will be hosted for the third consecutive year at Magalies Park Resort, confirming that the venue is perfect for this prestigious international event.
The competition will be inaugurated on 24 March with the Tournament Player Registration and the official practice round followed by the Parent and Child Competition.
“All is set to host again a fantastic international event with 145 players aged 6 to 18 years old. Boys and girls from over 21 countries will compete. Most families will be accommodated in this first-class resort with its impeccable golf course. The resort will organise daily special events to entertain the participants,” Magalies Park said.
The event will start with the Parent and Child Competition on 24 March. The Big 5 tournament will be played over 3 days, 25 to 27 March, 9 or 18 holes every day according to the age categories
According to the results, competitors will qualify to play in the Geerts Cup on 28 March. “This is a fantastic match-play event to close the event in a competitive and happy spirit. We will see on course the match between Team South Africa vs Team International.”
Team US Kids will be represented by the director Lola Geerts, assisted by Mark and Karlie Webster, Edoardo Torrieri, Davide Baldi and Philip Geerts. The international referee will be Chista Van Luijk.
The Big 5 SA Open is part of the international series of events on the US Kids Golf World calendar. It is valid for the US Kids Golf Ranking (Priority Status), Junior Golf Board Ranking and World Amateur Ranking.
