Xanthe at Commonwealth Championships

The Mountain Cambridge School is bursting with pride as Xanthe Nagel returns from the RLSS Commonwealth Lifesaving Championships in Swansea, Wales, where she represented South Africa.
Competing against athletes from 10 Commonwealth nations, Xanthe qualified for two A finals, finishing 4th and 8th, and placed 1st in a B final. She also took part in four relay events, earning a silver medal, two 4th-place finishes, and a 5th place; contributing to Team South Africa’s overall bronze medal.
“This remarkable achievement is not only a testament to her talent and hard work but also reflects the values and real-world readiness fostered at The Mountain Cambridge School. Well done, Xanthe — you’ve made your school, your country, and your community incredibly proud,” the school said.
