Businesses rally together to improve Hartbeespoort

Work in Scott Street commenced this week.

Following the establishment of the very successful Proudly Madibeng project in Brits last year, it has now expanded to Hartbeespoort and a number of businesses have already pledged their support for this project with its vision of a cleaner, safer, better town.
Proudly Madibeng Hartbeespoort is a non-profit company founded to support Hartbeespoort. The vision is an improved and more functional Madibeng for the whole community in cooperation with local government. The Hartbeespoort project kicked off last week with a week-long clean-up along Scott Street.
“Proudly Madibeng was established last year by a group of like-minded business owners who all have business interests in Brits and were tired of sitting on the sidelines waiting for the town to drift off-course,” a spokesperson said at the time. “The same now goes for Hartbeespoort. Proudly Madibeng Brits has already achieved a lot and has shown that the initiative works,” a spokesperson for the Hartbeespoort project said.
Proudly Madibeng works closely with the Madibeng Municipality, police, Community Policing Forums and local businesses to better the towns.
“We are a group of individuals who put their hands up for no other reason than to improve the quality of life of fellow Madibeng residents one small clean-up and repair at a time.”
Proudly Madibeng is inviting businesses to pledge their support for the project. “The more businesses we get to support us, the more we can do to clean up Hartbeespoort and restore it to its former glory.”
