Hartbeespoort, Brits and surrounding areas are all currently experiencing electricity load rotation due to a fault on Eskom’s lines coming into Hartbeespoort and feeding Brits and surrounding areas. This follows a major Eskom power outage on Monday.
Eskom introduced a two-hour load rotation between Hartbeespoort and Brits on Monday night.
“Eskom on Monday night identified and located a problem at high mast powerlines at Schurveberg in Hartbeespoort. Due to the unsafe terrain, work on the fault will start on Tuesday,” said Madibeng councillor Elsa Lourens.
The Madibeng Municipality warned in a statement that residents should treat all power installations as live throughout the outage period
