Heloise van Zyl, a member of Steel Eagle Fitness Gym in Hartbeespoort took part in the recent Hyrox Fitness Competition in Cape Town and won gold! Heloise qualified for the World Championships in 2026. Other members of Steel Eagle who performed well at the event, were Kerneels Combrinck and Henco Ingram in the Men’s doubles who won a silver medal. Kerneels Combrinck, Henco Ingram, Michaela Meintjes and Louise Venter won silver in Mixed Relay under 40. In the Mixed Relay over 40, Schwartz van Zyl, Helouise Van Zyl, Jurie Ingram and Nicola Ingram, received a silver medal.
