Hyacinth almost gone

A mere 3% of Hartbeespoort Dam is currently covered by hyacinth. Thanks to the release of biological control bugs by the Centre for Biological Control (CBC) of Rhodes University and the manual removal of hyacinth, the dam is almost clear. The coming cold months will kill the remaining plants. CBC will be releasing more bugs as soon as the first growth of hyacinth is spotted again.
