Magaliesberg Bioshphere AGM on 5 October
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Magaliesberg Biosphere, which will be held on 5 October at Toppieshoek Campsite in Broederstroom.
The meeting starts at 09:00 to 12:30. Before the meeting, Vincent Carruthers, who led the campaign to have the region proclaimed a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, will talk about The Treasures of Toppieshoek. Freshwater scientist Jonathan Levin, and Darragh Woodford, professor in Aquatic Ecology, will talk about ‘Assessing water user impacts on eco-hydrology using stable isotopes’.
Attendees will have the opportunity to view the historic Leiden telescopes with Vincent Carruthers.
