Praise for police investigation after ATM bombing
Following the ATM bombings and shootout at the Broederstroom Shell fuel station last week, centre owner Miquel Goncalves this week praised the police’s professionalism, dedication and assistance during the traumatic events.
A multi-disciplinary police team descended on the scene shortly after the bombing and shootout where a civilian died and four people were wounded.
“We were impressed with the police officers from the various units’ professionalism, how helpful they were and the remarkable collaboration between the police and the community. They worked tirelessly the whole night and day following the crime. We want to thank them for their assistance,” Gocalves said.
Mike and Larry of the centre expressed their regret for the life lost and the people wounded during the incident. “It saddens us that people were killed and hurt. Our condolences to the families and we wish those injured a speedy recovery.”
