Over 20 sewer pump stations in Hartbeespoort and Brits are to be refurbished with work scheduled to start in November.

Madibeng Municipality spokesperson Tumelo Tshabalala said a project has been approved to refurbish pump stations in Madibeng through the Water and Sanitation Infrastructure Grant.
“Of this, 12 are in Hartbeespoort, eight in Brits and two in Letlhabile. Project designs have been done and a report will be submitted to the municipality soon. The project construction is expected to start during this month of November and the work will include among others the installation of new electrical panels, a telemetry system to allow us to manage them remotely and spare pumps at each station,” Tshabalala said.
