The well-known manufacturers of Ornamental Concrete Garden and building décor, Style Décor, celebrates 60 years of garden décor excellence this year.

This landmark was started in 1965 by the current owner, Chappy le Roux’s mother, Magriet and his father Hennie joined them later.
“She started the business in an old chicken run and made pots and garden sculptures herself. As a nine-year-old, I helped her make pots and garden décor,” Chappy recalls.
Over the years, the business expanded, and many new product ranges were added. “The initial focus was on garden ornamental and building products, but as demand changed, the company adapted and added new product ranges and manufacturing materials to its repertoire.”
Chappy took over the reins of Style Décor in 1979 and his wife Jane joined him in March 1990.
In 1989 a large range of interior products was added to the existing range. Products included tables, coffee tables, servers and sculptures in a variety of colours and finishes. In 1991 the company was invited by the department of Trade & Industry to exhibit these products at the Macef Trade Show in Milan Italy, and they were very well received, and this generated exports to the UK, Dubai, Ghana and Botswana.
Currently Style Décor boasts over 4 000 products for Nurseries, Landscapers, Architects and more. New product ranges are added on a regular basis, and the extensive interior and exterior showrooms are open seven days a week (except Easter Friday and Christmas holidays) to make it easier for the public architects, landscapers, contractors and designers to select the desired items.
Style Décor specializes in the manufacturing of both functional and decorative ornamental concrete products for a large variety of applications. Designs range from classical to modern and ethnic.
Materials currently used for the manufacture of products are ornamental concrete, stone compounds, textile & fibre cement, fibreglass and steel. The company has an in-house mould shop with highly specialized staff. This enables Style Décor to manufacture Moulds and mouldings to the specifications of the client.
