Three arrested after body found in Hartbeespoort
Two men and a woman were arrested after the body of a 34-year-old man was found in the bushes near Saartjiesnek last Wednesday.

The murdered man’s car was found abandoned.
A 21-year-old man driving on the R511 noticed a woman (34) coming out of the bushes close to where he had been kidnapped and robbed the previous week. The woman was about to board a taxi, and he recognised her as one of a group of people who had robbed him. He alerted a security company.
A security officer found the body of a 34-year-old man in the bushes at the same place where the 21-year-old’s car was found the previous week. The murdered man’s car was found abandoned a distance away.
The 21-year-old told police that he had been robbed at knifepoint on his way to a nearby college to drop off sports equipment. The robbers stole soccer balls, spectacles and a jacket. His vehicle, a Volkswagen Polo, was later found abandoned in the nearby bush,” said police spokesperson Captain Mpho Manyoba.
Investigations led the police to Atteridgeville, where a woman and two men were arrested. Mayoba said investigations revealed that the woman, who allegedly worked as a “lady of the night”, worked with the two men to rob ‘clients’.
“During the arrests, police confiscated numerous cell phones and other items, including sports equipment, stolen from the 21-year-old. The trio, aged between 22 and 35, were charged with murder and robbery. They appeared in the Brits Magistrates Court on Tuesday. Investigations continue.”
The Acting Provincial Commissioner, Major General Patrick Asaneng, praised the team for their collaboration that led to this success. He encouraged community members and security companies to continue working with the police in the fight against crime.`
