There is finally a food haven for the health-conscious in Hartbeespoort! The popular Kauai restaurant opened its doors at De Handelspost last week, offering only healthy, mouth-watering goodness.

De Handelspost owner, Werner Wenhold, saw a demand for a health food restaurant and approached Hartbeespoort resident and spice and herb expert, Tonine Warden, with the idea. “There was no thinking about it. This was what Hartbeespoort needed – a restaurant for the health conscious where you can get mouth-watering healthy food,” says Tonine.
Tonine and her team received extensive training for three months and the long-awaited health restaurant finally opened its doors. “As soon as we opened, we had such a good response from the community, proving we were right,” she says.
Kauai offers an extensive menu, ranging from energy-packed breakfasts, recovery meals, health-a-glass smoothies, and even healthy burgers!
