The Proudly Harties Organisation literally moved mountains of trash on Heritage Day.
Over 100 volunteers removed more than 250 refuse bags of trash from three locations in Hartbeespoort. “We filled 250 and then had to phone a friend, Pick n Pay Harties, for more! It’s important to mention that in true community spirit, half of the volunteers were kids, some were retired, and some businesses even sent their employees to assist,” the organisation said.
Thank you, Village Mall Hartbeespoort, for gifting volunteers with a pack of firelighters as part of “BraaiDay”, Mullercon-AG for 100 bottles of water, Beethoven Recovery Centre for plastic gloves, Pick n Pay Harties for refuse bags, Tannie Slaai for those little filled vetkoek surprises at the end, John Dorys and Silver Falls Spur for the gift vouchers, Aequitas Security Solutions, PWV Security and Bidvest Protea Coin for escorting the volunteers along the routes. You all make Harties proud!
The full bags were placed along the routes and collected by the Madibeng Municipality.
